The Nordic Legacy Reborn

Standing nearly 30 stories tall and roughly twice the size of the Metrodome, U.S. Bank Stadium represents a new chapter not only for the Minnesota Vikings, but also for innovation in stadium design. The stadium has a unique transparent roof and the world’s largest pivoting glass doors that allude to Minnesota snow and ice, but allow patrons to enjoy games comfortably inside. The seating bowl retracts to accommodate a large, square field, enabling the stadium to be used for football, soccer, baseball, and concert events year round. The versatile venue will attract major national and international events, two of which are already announced: Super Bowl LII in 2018 and the NCAA Men’s Basketball Final Four in 2019.

Infinite Scale worked with the Vikings to create a Partner Integration Master Plan for their new home. A comprehensive signage and graphics system was developed that reflect the partners’ vision, while complementing the building structure and integrating seamlessly with the Vikings brand. In addition to consulting on the stadium's naming rights and founding partner signage, Infinite Scale worked closely with the Vikings and their chosen partners to program and design for gate, club and concourse activation areas, as well as assist the Vikings with their team branding throughout the stadium – both permanent and seasonal. 

Like the facility at large, the design of partner spaces at U.S. Bank Stadium is heavily influenced by Minnesota’s culture, geography and rich Nordic heritage. The innovative and modern feel of Minneapolis, combined with the rich tradition and history of the Vikings, is distinctly integrated in the stadium’s overall look and feel.
